EA Teen Summit- Hip-Hop: Public Enemy #1?
The East Alabama Teen Summit
a movement that provides a creative and safe learning environment where young people from various communities across east Alabama are invited to work with local and regional leaders to share their perspectives, explore their own ideas, develop and build leadership skills through community and collaboration.
We support community-based initiatives both locally and around the United States as we provide teens with access to resources, skills, and experiences to help them take ownership and positively contribute to their communities.
Together we are one voice, one purpose, and one community.

Our first summit will be on August 23, 2009 at 5 p.m. in the Auburn University Student Center Rms. 2222 & 2223
The hip-hop movement has been characterized as one of the greatest movements since the American Civil Rights Movement. Since its inception, the hip-hop movement has undergone numerous changes and shifts in its culture and now has become widely criticized. Come join us as we tackle the question of the day: “Is today’s hip-hop hurting or helping our society?”
